They can technically fit a traveling family, but you might want to upgrade if you want any privacy or if you anticipate spending more than just nights in your stateroom. The park is full of tall, lush trees and massive plant walls that are much more impressive than on the newer Oasis Class ships. The ship’s AquaTheater show, OceanAria, may have been the best AquaTheater show I’ve seen yet. It had a huge focus on acrobatics, including an insanely impressive acro yoga performance. While all AquaTheater shows on Oasis Class ships are entertaining, I enjoyed OceanAria the most. On Allure of the Seas, however, this space has massive windows overlooking the Boardwalk neighborhood and ocean. On every other Oasis Class ship, the Diamond Lounge is tucked into a room on Deck 4 with no windows.

A variety of suites are also available on Allure of the Seas, from a basic Junior Suite to lavish AquaTheater and Loft Suites. Each age group has their own room for activities, and there is also an Imagination Studio for arts and crafts and a science lab for educational experiments. In addition, child-friendly movies are shown throughout the cruise at the Adventure Ocean Theater. If you plan to enjoy several drinks every day of the cruise, it may be worth purchasing a beverage package. Royal Caribbean’s drink packages are unlimited, so you can enjoy as many drinks as you’d like without worrying about the cost per beverage. The distinct neighborhoods on Allure of the Seas mean there is something for everyone onboard, whether you're looking to relax at Central Park or get your adrenaline pumping on the Sports Court.

In February 2014, the ship was in need of some repairs and, during that Bahamas dry dock, the cruise line installed new carpeting and upgraded some of the guest facilities. The ship left the shipyard on its maiden voyage in October 2010, headed toward its new home in Florida, where it would sail around the Caribbean. A christening ceremony was held on Nov. 28, 2010, led by the ship’s fictional godmother, Princess Fiona from the Shrek franchise. Built for an original cost of $1.2 billion, Allure of the Seas was built at the STX Europe Turku Shipyard in Finland (though, at the time of order, the shipyard had not yet been acquired by STX Europe). The ship was ordered in February 2006 and construction began in February 2008. The bathroom had a glass-enclosed shower that was painfully small but functional, with decent storage space. Royal Caribbean offered its own brand of bar soap for handwashing and hair and body wash in a wall-mounted dispenser in the shower. Passengers booked in more expensive cabins receive individual mini-bottles of the line's branded shower gel, lotion, shampoo and conditioner.
Whether you're there for a pint or a ground-level view of one of the promenade parties, you can't go wrong with a table outside the pub. The adults-only Solarium Bistro on Deck 15 forward has its own restaurant attached. On Allure of the Seas, it offers both solarium and air-conditioned dining. However, the food — I had the chicken breast — was fantastic, which more than made up for the cringe factor.
The insides, found in Central Park and along the Royal Promenade, do have windows gazing out on the public spaces below, while the balconies in Central Park and on the Boardwalk have actual verandas. I was super sad to learn that, when the ship undergoes its refurbishment in 2025, the saloon will be replaced with Playmakers sports bar, complete with the venue's standard pub grub menu. That means the only remaining ship with Sabor will be Harmony of the Seas.
